Ruth Price Tyre, 76, died Saturday at her daughter's home in Ocala.
She was born in Carraway and had lived in Putnam County most of her life. She was a member of the Florahome United Methodist Church and she was a homemaker.
She is survived by her daughters, Nelda Wagner of Ocala, Nadine Richardson of Pascagoula, Miss., Norma Jena Tyre of Gainesville, Navaughn Strickland of Eustis, and Julie Elbert of Winston-Salem, N.C.; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Masters Funeral Home with the Rev. Charles P. Snyder officiating. burial will be in Etoniah Church Cemetery in Bardin. (Palatka Daily News Obituary dtd 31 Jan 1994.)
