PLAINVIEW - Vera Thorman Waller, 90, died Thursday, Feb. 23, 2006.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today in Plainview Memorial Park by Lemons Funeral Home.

Mrs. Waller was born May 21, 1915, in Fannin County to George Marion Thorman and Paulinia Marvella Davis Thorman. Vera married Willie Joe Waller on Aug. 16, 1958, in Fort Stockton. She worked for the Texas A&M Extension Agency as a Home Demonstration Agent before teaching fifth grade in the Fort Stockton ISD until retirement. She enjoyed her family, Bible study, reading, cooking, bridge and golf. Mrs. Waller was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Fort Stockton.

Survivors include a son, Joe Michael Waller of Plainview; two granddaughters, Kaylyn and Ashley Langston, both of Plainview; a grandson, Colton Langston of Plainview; nieces, Grace King of Odessa, Vera Steele of Fort Worth, Claudia Swain and Georgia Rose; nephews, Bob Swain and David Luliech; numerous other nieces and nephews; and a sister-in-law, Evelyn Williams of Lancaster.
