Robert C. Ackley, 59, of RD 2 Kersey died suddenly at his home Tuesday, June 22, 1971. He was born January 8, 1912 in Limestone, N.Y. and was employed at the Stackpole Carpet Co. in St. Marys.

He was a member of the Key F.L. Club of St. Marys and the local Moose Lodge there.

He is survived by his wife, the former Antoinette Sweener, whom he married Sept. 27, 1930 in Emporium; two daughters, two sons, his mother, the former Beatrice Marsh; and 24 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father, Clarence Ackley.

Friends may call at the John J. Lunch Funeral Home in St. Marys from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow in St. Marys Cemetery.
