Anna B. Gifford, 82, of Benton, passed away on Saturday, February 25, 2006 at the Arkansas Health Center. She was born on March 1, 1923 at Malvern, to the late James B. and Madie Amanda (Ray) Smith. She married Rev. W. R. (Rudy) Gifford on March 25, 1948. He preceded her in death on September 13, 1969.

Mrs. Gifford was retired from the dietary department of Saline Memorial Hospital. She had faithfully served along side her husband at churches in Picayune, and McComb, Mississippi; Penticton, British Columbia, Canada; and East Grand Forks, Minnesota. She was a member of Highland Heights Baptist Church of Benton.

Survivors include one son; Bill Gifford of Benton, one daughter, Nancy K. Rose, and husband Richard of Arlington, Texas; three grandchildren and their spouses, Ambi and Jay Gordon of Ft. Worth, Texas; Melode and Stephen Strawn of San Antonio, Texas; David and Lori Rose of Benton; two great-grandchildren Jeremiah and Alyssa Gordon of Ft. Worth, Texas.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, February 28, 2006, in the Roller-Ballard Funeral Home with Rev. Ken Overturf and Rev. Carl Fawcett officiating. Interment will follow in Pinecrest Memorial Park. Visitation will be held from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M., Monday, February 27, 2006 in the Roller-Ballard Funeral Home (315-4047).
