Margaret Anna Blair was born 3 May 3 1900 in Newburgh, Orange County, New York to Chauncey Merritt Blair and Ella Braffett. James Chester Backus and Anna M. Blair married 20 Mar 1920 at the C. C. Hancock Memorial Methodist Episcopal Church in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Their son Chester Jr. was born 7 Mar 1922. Margaret died 13 days later of pneumonia on her 2nd wedding anniversary just a few weeks before her 22nd birthday. Chester Jr. was baptised 11 Jun 1922 at the church where his parents married.
