Mr. Stephen Robert “Steve” Daniel, age 53, of Carrollton, Georgia passed away on Thursday, August 21, 2014. He was born on March 31, 1961 in Fulton County, Georgia, the son of the late James Robert Daniel and Barbara Hicks Pate. He was retired from Kroger, Atlanta Division, with over 25 years of service and was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Carrollton. In addition to his father, he was also preceded in death by his step father, Thomas Pate. Survivors include his wife, Kay Walton Daniel of Carrollton; mother, Barbara Pate of Douglasville; sons: Alex Daniel of Dallas, Texas and Matt Daniel of Carrollton; step sister, Dawn Hawkins of Marietta; step brother, David Pate of Waleska, Georgia, and numerous nieces and nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles. Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 PM on Sunday, August 24, 2014 from Martin & Hightower Heritage Chapel with Rev. Charles Gardner, Pastor of Atlanta First United Methodist Church, officiating. Interment will follow in Carroll Memory Gardens.
