Arthur Welch, 82, of Georgetown died Wednesday, August 20, 2014 at his home surrounded by his family.

A lifelong resident of Ooltewah and Georgetown, Mr. Welch retired from Dixie Portland Flour Mill after 36 years of service.


He enjoyed the mountains, gardening, music and time with his family and friends.

He was the son of the late John and Jessie Welch and was also preceded in death by his daughter, Connie Morgan, step-daughter, Rena Duckett and step-son, Randall Duckett; sisters, JoAnn Stokes and Barbara Posey; brothers, John “Pickle” Welch and Robert “Punk” Welch.

Survivors are his wife of 44 years, Glenda Welch; step-daughter, Kimberly Manring; step-sons, Jerry and Lynn Duckett; sisters, Juanita Morgan, Norma Sue Leman and Pat Welch; brothers, Ed, Charles and Steve Welch; two grandchildren, Heath Morgan and Jennifer Griffin; several step-grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Services will be held Saturday at 1 PM in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Mack Arnold officiating, Burial will be private.
