The Rev. William Palmer Armstrong, of No. 41 Bergen-st., a clergyman of the Methodist Protestant denomination, died in an ambulance on Thursday evening from an attack of apoplexy. He had attended the annual excursion of the Fourth Street Methodist Protestant Church up the Sound, and was taken ill before the return.

William P. Armstrong, of No. 41 Bergen-street, a sign-painter, who was licensed to preach by the Methodist Church, had an attack of apoplexy while attending the annual excursion up the Sound of the Fourth-Street Methodist Church, on Thursday. After the excursion boat reached Brooklyn, Mr. Armstrong was place in an ambulance, but died on his way to the hospital. The deceased, who was 49 years of age, leaves a widow and one daughter.
