MORRISTOWN - Andrew "Bud" Matthews, 71, of Whitesburg, died Monday.

Mr. Matthews was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church.

He was a son of the late Samuel and Cora Cupp Matthews and the widower of Ina Mae Matthews.

Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law: Steve and Gail Matthews and Larry and Jackie Matthews, all of Morristown; four granddaughters: Holly Matthews, Andrea Matthews, Julie Matthews, and Rachel Matthews; a special sister-in-law: Maxine Long; and a special friend: Joe Hightower.

He was preceded in death by a brother: "Pee Wee" Matthews; and a sister: Betty Jo Matthews.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 this evening at Stubblefield Funeral Home in Morristown.

The funeral service will follow visitation at 8 o'clock in the funeral home chapel. The Rev. Bill Lafollette and the Rev. Dickie Watts will officiate.

Family and friends will meet in Hamblen Memory Gardens for a graveside service at 1 o'clock Wednesday afternoon.
