An Australian Test cricketer. He toured England with the 1909 Australian team but did not play a Test. He returned to England in 1912 to play in the Triangular Series against South Africa and England, and played his six Tests then.

He also had a successful Australian Rules career, winning a premiership with Richmond in 1905.
