Robert Wayne Grissom entered peacefully into rest at his Tracy home on August 18, 2014. He was 62 years old.
A native Californian, born on December 10, 1951, Robert retired from Lucky's grocery store having worked as a meat cutter and department manager for 35 years. Following the first retirement, he embarked on his new career as a general contractor, opening Mr. G's Maintenance and proudly became the top maintenance provider on Angie's List from 2012 -2014. In addition to his strong work ethic, Robert was known for his love of the outdoors, enjoying fishing, camping and hunting. He was also a talented wood worker and a true friend. Robert will be missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his beloved wife and best friend of 24 years, Cynthia D. Grissom of Tracy; daughter, Rhonda Grissom and daughter and son in law, Carrie & John Kovacs, all of Fremont; mother, Annie Grissom of Hayward; grandchildren, Madelyn and Malcolm; many loving extended family and cherished friends.
Visitation for Robert will be 4 to 8 pm on Thursday at Grissom's Chapel & Mortuary, 267 E. Lewelling. Blvd., San Lorenzo. Funeral services will be held at 1 pm on Friday at Castro Valley Church of the Nazarene, 19230 Lake Chabot Rd., Castro Valley. Robert will be laid to rest at Mt. Eden Cemetery in Hayward.
