Funeral services were held on Monday from West Prairie Lutheran church north of Cooperstown for Ernest Rickford, whose death occurred last Thursday evening at the Valley City hospital. Rev. M. Tufteland officiated and burial was made in the church cemetery.
Born April 3, 1882, in Casselton, Rickford was married to Miss Pauline Rickford November 11, 1905. They moved to Griggs county and have lived in the Binford community many years. Mrs. Rickford died in 1939.
Surviving are two children, a son, Earl, and a daughter, Mrs. Hazel Ronningen, both of the Binford community; two grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Pall bearers were Arthur and Almer Myer, Hans Elgin, Nils Halvorson, Elmer Miller and Lars Skarsbo.
