William Spencer Harville, age 89 of Algood and formerly of Crossville, died April 3, 2006 at Master Health Care Center.
He was born October 2, 1916 in Smith County, the son of Spencer Coley and Ida Mai Claxton Harville. In addition to his parents, he was proceeded in death by his wife Maudie M. Jewel (Grogan) Harville.
He was a farmer and a minister. He had pastored Buckner Community Baptist Church and Camp Heights Baptist Church and was a member at Jonesville Baptist Church.
Funeral services were held Thursday, April 6, 2006 at 11:00 am in the chapel of Whitson Funeral Home. Burial followed in James Dickens Cemetery in Granville.
Survivors include three daughters, Tinnie (Robert) Wright of Sparta, Dorothy Lafever of Indiana and Gracie (Bobby) Hickey of Sparta. Seven sons Robert (Peggy) Harville of Cookeville, Coley (Pearl) Harville of Cookeville, Royce (Pat) Harville of Algood, Jimmy (Linda) Harville of Cookeville, David (Carolyn) Haraville of Cookeville, Joseph (Teresa) Harville of Indiana and Timothy (Colleen) Harville of Christiana, sister Sarah Bell Hancock of Lebanon, 22 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren.
