Magdalena Elizabeth Aabol of Red Deer, formerly of Estevan, Saskatchewan passed away at the Red Deer Regional Hospital on Saturday, Jan 26, 2008 at the age of 91 years. Magdalena was born on February 25, 1916 in Lampman, Saskatchewan.

She spent the majority of her life in the Estevan area but lived in Alberta for the last nine years. She worked at the Estevan Regional Nursing Home, retiring as Head Cook.

She was involved with many organizations but was especially active with the Royal Purple and held a lifetime membership. Magdalena will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

She will be lovingly remembered by one son, Anthony (Lana) Aabol, one daughter, Margaret (Ben) Fisette, three grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She is also survived by three brothers; Joseph Glasser, Phillip (Gladys) Glasser and Paul (Nel) Glasser, one sister, Katherine Reed.

She was predeceased by her husband, Ole Aabol, her parents, Phillip and Monica Glasser, brothers; John Glasser and Edward Glasser, sister, Elizabeth Geisel and grandson, David Aabol.

A Prayer Service will take place at Orstead Funeral Home in Estevan on Fri, Feb 1, 2008 at 7:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. John the Baptist Parish on Sat, Feb 2, 2008 at 10:30 a.m. with Father Lorne Crozone and The Most Reverend Father Ken Miller Celebrants. Interment will be at Souris Valley Cemetery, Estevan.
