Born in Kenosha on July 2, 1971, she was the daughter of John Schmidt and Deborah (Fanning) Reichenberger. She was educated in Kenosha schools and was a graduate of Mary D. Bradford High School.
In 1991, she was married to Mark Kunza. That marriage ended in 1993. In 1998, she was married to Greg Laho. That marriage ended in 2005.
She was employed at BP Connects and also worked in retail. To further her career, Rachael took many college courses and was a certified nursing assistant.
As a Christian, Rachael's life was filled with much love for her family; especially her four children. She knew the importance of education and will be remembered for working tirelessly to make sure her children received a good education.
She is survived by her father, John Schmidt of CA; her mother, Deborah Reichenberger of Kenosha; her four loving children, Austin Schmidt, Aja Kunza, Jenna Laho and Gregory Laho all of Savanna; her two brothers, Troy Reichenberger of Wauwatosa and Rick Reichenberger of New Orleans, LA; and her grandparents, Marlene Evans of Kenosha, Joann Fanning of Tucson, AZ and Nina Specht of FL. She is further survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins who loved her dearly.
She was preceded in death by her two grandfathers, Gene Fanning and Ted Schmidt.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, April 2, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. at the Piasecki-Althaus Funeral Home, 3720 39th Avenue. Private interment will be held in St. George Cemetery.
Visitation:
A visitation will be held on Friday, from 4:00 p.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home, 3720 39th Avenue. Memorial remembrances directed to Rachael's children would be appreciated.
