Hilda Grace Jarmon Byrd, age 75, passed away on Tuesday, August 19, 2014 in the Carolina East Hospice Care Center in Kenansville, North Carolina. She was born November 5, 1938 to Tom Clayton Jarmon and Sarah Quessie Bostic. She is survived by her beloved husband of 58 years, Dick Roger Byrd, sons William Clayton Byrd and James Roger Byrd, four grandchildren, one step-granddaughter, five great-grandchildren, and two step great-grandsons. She is also survived by two brothers, Clayton Vernon Jarmon and Randall Britt Jarmon, one sister, Wilma Jarmon Batts, and one half-sister, Elna Grey Brinson. Hilda was a long-time member of Bethel Wesleyan Church in Rose Hill. No one who tasted one of her biscuits will forget her. She loved and supported her family, friends, and community with all of her heart.
