BARKER, Margaret C. "Peggy" 89, of Land O' Lakes, FL went home to be with the Lord on July 28, 2014. She recently had been living in Panama City, FL with family but had become seriously ill in recent days. Peggy was born in Tampa, and graduated from Hillsborough High School in 1942. She worked many dedicated years for Mr. & Mrs. Robert Deriso and for Parts and Equipment. She was a great cook of country cooking and was a great story teller, making sure her family was aware of their southern roots. Peggy was preceded in death by her parents, Mae Council Suddath & Eugene Suddath; beloved husband, Nelson Barker; sisters, Katherine Wilkinson & Laura Granville; niece, Peggy Granville Marko; & nephews, Edgar Davison Ervin, Jr. & Wayne Wilkinson. She is survived by her sister, Ellen Suddath Ervin & several nieces & nephews, Gene Blitch (Hilda), Charles Blitch (Janis), Susan Ervin Richard (Gus), Maellen Ervin Richard (John), Downie Granville (Gina) & Kathy Granville Kaestner. She is also survived by many great-nieces and nephews who all adored her as did her whole family. The family wants to thank all the nurses and attending doctors of the Gulf Coast Medical Center and Select Specialty Hospital in Panama City, FL. We also want to thank Downie Granville and Robert & Bonnie Herman who spent many vigilant hours in attendance at her bedside at the hospital. A graveside service is planned for friends and family on Friday, Aug. 22, 2014, at 2 pm at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL. A memorial service is planned on Sept. 6, 2014 at 10 am at the River of Life Worship Center in Port Vincent, LA.
