Ramsay James Bain, 91, passed away Aug. 17, 2014. He was born to the late James and Rose Bain, Dec. 30, 1922, in Los Angeles, Calif.

Ramsay and wife, Rita wed in Pasadena, Calif., sixty-six years ago. They were twenty-eight year residents of Arizona. He was a WWII veteran of the United States Coast Guard, serving the western coast as an air sea rescue man. Ramsay also worked for Fluor Corporation as an electrical design engineer for thirty-three years. He was a member of the Elks Lodge for fifty-four years. He loved to hunt, fish and woodwork.

Ramsay is survived by his wife, Rita Bain of Lake Havasu City; sons, Brent Bain of Eagle River, Alaska, and Blake (Suzanne) Bain of Goodyear, Ariz.; grandchildren, Joshua Bain of Pasco, Wash., and Jessica (Reagan) Walker of Buckeye, Ariz., and great-grandchildren, Wyatt Walker and Easton Walker of Buckeye, Ariz.

He was preceded in death by his parents James and Rose Bain.

Funeral services will be for Ramsay, Friday, Aug. 22, at 12:30 p.m. at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona in Phoenix.

Services were placed in the care of Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home & Crematory.
