She was employed as a cook at Woodridge Hospital before retiring. Mrs. Barnett was of the Baptist faith.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Barnett was preceded in death by a brother, David Crockett Atkins, and a grandson, David Markland.
A Celebration of Life service was conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 9, 2003 in the Sunrise Chapel of Tetrick Funeral Services.
The graveside and interment service followed in Washington County Memory Gardens.
