Father: John Andes
Mother: Susannah GLICK Andes
From The Holt County Sentinel-January 22, 1875:
"We had a very distressing death in this neighborhood, on January 14. Some nine weeks ago, Sissy Andes, an eleven year old daughter of widow Andes, was paralyzed the entire length of her left side, from head to foot, rendering her helpless and causing very much suffering.
The paralytic stroke overtook her whilst while at her work around the premises. She was known as a very industrious girl, and quite a favorite. It is difficult to assign cause any for this dreadful disease. Death came to the relief of the youthful sufferer."
