Brandi's mother and father decided to move to the Los Angeles area a couple of years after she was born. Her family then decided to relocate to Carson City, NV to be near family. Brandi graduated from Carson City High School in 1971. Brandi decided to move back to California, and eventually went to work for Collins Century 21 Realty in Stockton, CA. Brandi was a very bright young lady and loved all of the many aspects of real estate. She made many new friends and clients and was adored by all who knew her.
Brandi-Lynn loved and had a deep compassion for her family, friends and animals. She always had several cats and a dog or two. She was also an avid Corvette enthusiast. She was thrilled when she purchased her first Corvette as she loved to drive fast and listen to the sound of a powerful motor! She was an avid reader and was a very talented gardener. She was extremely talented in the interior design field, which was a great asset during her career. Brandi's mother, Liz Laxalt, convinced Brandi to leave Stockton and move to Reno to go into business with her. Unfortunately, Brandi became ill shortly after the move. She remained strong and fought hard in her battle with throat cancer over the past five years.
Her mother, Elizabeth "Liz" Laxalt preceded her in death on December 18, 2008. Brandi-Lynn is survived by her father, Karl Hall II; her brothers, Karl Hall III (Ann) and Charles "Happy" Laxalt; her sister, Suzan Laxalt; and her stepfather, Peter "Mick" Laxalt. She is also survived by her two aunts, Barbara O'Leary (Richard) and Roberta "Robbie" Edwards, several nieces and nephews and cousins. She was deeply loved and will be dearly missed by her family and her constant companion, her Australian Shepherd, Blue, who was even allowed to be by her side at the hospital on several occasions.
Our family would like to thank her devoted doctor, William R. Trimmer, M.D., F.A.C.S. and his staff, who treated her with such kind loving care. The family truly appreciates and is extremely grateful for the many hours of highly-skilled service that Dr. Trimmer so generously donated to Brandi's care. A memorial service is scheduled for Sunday, August 2, 2009 at 4 p.m. at Walton's Sierra Chapel, 875 West Second Street, Reno, NV.
