Judith A. “Judi” Eldridge, 75, of Mishawaka, passed away early Tuesday morning, August 19, 2014, in Kindred Hospital-Northern Indiana.

Judi was born October 9, 1938 in Marion, Indiana, the daughter of the late Rex and Yvonne (Elliott) Dixon. She grew up mostly in Marion.

On November 10, 1978, Judi married Charles “Bob” Eldridge. They moved to Mishawaka in 1979. Bob passed away in 1990.

While living in Marion, Judi was credit manager for several businesses and belonged to the Credit Club. In Mishawaka, she worked as a clerk and in finances for St. Joseph Hospital. Judi liked homemaking and enjoyed cooking, baking, knitting, crocheting and sewing.

Judi is survived by five step children, Linda (Kenneth) Harvey, Robin Baer, Bobby Zell, Barbara Jones and Rhonda (Kurt) Webb; a sister, Vicki Baker; a nephew, Brian (Kim) Baker; a cousin and caregiver, Linda Miller; and a close friend, Karen Dermody.

Services honoring Judi’s life will be held Saturday, September 6, at 1 pm in Goethals & Wells Funeral Home, 503 W. 3rd Street, Mishawaka, with Pastor Bob Vale officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Gas City.

Family and friends may gather one hour before the services in the funeral home.
