Christian Taylor Thompson departed this life on August 18, 2014. He passed away peacefully; surrounded by his family.

Taylor was born on April 9, 1993 to Robert B. and Evie H. Thompson. He graduated from Charlottesville High School in 2011. He attended Mary Washington University and Piedmont Virginia Community College, while pursuing a degree in engineering. He was an accomplished musician and artist; he was especially proficient with the guitar.

Taylor was a kind, modest and generous son and brother, as well as a loyal friend. Those of us who knew him best were privileged to enjoy his gentle and loving spirit every day. We know that he is in a better place, and we will always love him.

In addition to his parents he is survived by his sister, Ashley T. Johnson and her husband Patrick of Charlottesville; his brother, Robby B. Thompson, III of Charlottesville; his maternal grandparents, Herbert and Mary Harlow of Charlottesville; his paternal grandmother, Helen L. Thompson of Scottsville, two aunts, Linda Graham and her husband David of Williamsburg, Joann Parcells and her husband Doug of Oradell, NJ; his uncle, Russell L. Harlow and his wife Mary Stuart of Lexington, and many loving cousins.

A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 am Thursday August 21, 2014 at First Baptist Church.

Burial will follow in Monticello Memory Gardens.

The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 7 to 8 pm at the Hill and Wood Funeral Home.
