So this census tells me that his 2 older brothers John S. and Courtland G that both died in 1846. John March 7 and Courtland April 27. Courtland was only 8 months/5days old and I believe John's headstone also gives his age at death as under 1 years.

and then the pension card that gives all the above info and the date/place of death as: Oct. 1 1927 St. Louis MO.

The other thing is, George was also in the Reg. with his future father-in-law..
