The daughter of Jay and Inez (Thompson) Keesee, Billie was born August 19, 1931 in Somerset, Kentucky.
After moving to the Butler area and as a young lady, Billie worked for General Industries. Later she owned and operated the Clear Fork Inn and Zed’s Drive-In. Billie however, will be best remembered for her familiar face as head of food service at Clear Fork Ski Lodge, in Butler.
On March 5, 1968, Billie married Harry “Abe” Freeman. Together, Billie and Harry enjoyed boating on Lake Dillon, near Zanesville. Billie had an extensive doll collection, and enjoyed crocheting and ceramics. She attended the former Mt. Sinai United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her children and their spouses Wayne & Pat Ousley, Russ & Lynn Ousley, and Danny Ousley all of Butler, Sharon Fulton of Butler, Kevin & Ruth Freeman of Uniontown, and Kurt & Lois Freeman of Bellville: 14 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren including Courtney Fulton and Brooklyn Kvochick; brothers and sisters-in-law Dallas and Susie Keesee of Mansfield, Bertha Lee Mitchell, Jerry Keesee, and Jane and Gary Brown all of McArther; numerous nieces nephews, and her very special pet Cockapoo-Lucy.
Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her loving husband Harry “Abe” Freeman in 2010, brothers Charlie and Robert “Jake” Keesee, and sisters Dorthea Attwood and Effie Keesee.
The Freeman family will receive friends Friday evening August 22, 2014 from 5-8 pm in the Bellville Snyder Funeral Home where funeral services will be held Saturday at 10 am. Burial will follow in Mansfield Memorial Park.
