Fort Mill, April 3 [1948] - Mrs Carolyn Newell Collins, 83, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs B J Alexander of Fort Mill.
She was the daughter of the late J N and Julia Newell of Lancaster. She was the widow of T R Collins of Lancaster. Funeral services will be conducted at 3 o'clock Sunday afternoon at St Johns Methodist Church at Fort Mill. Interment will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery in Charlotte.
She is survived by three daughters, Mrs B K Alexander of Fort Mill, Mrs ?elle Collins Rock Hill, and Mrs ? S Griffin of Charlotte; three sons, ? R Collins of Waxhaw, S M Collins of Fort Mill, and S D Collins of Charlotte; three stepchildren, W M Collins of Fort Mill, H C Collins of Charlotte, and Mrs D W Newell of Fort Mill; three sisters, Mrs Fannie Ritch of Rock Hill, Mrs Ed Robinson of Rock Hill, and Mrs J D Griffin of Waxhaw; and three brothers, Frank Newell of Paul's Valley, Oklahoma, Marcus Newell of Rock Hill and Heath Newell of Charlotte.
