JAMES WALTER LEMASTER ~ July 11, 2014

James Walter LeMaster, age 62, known to his family as Jimbo, passed away July 11,2014 in Live Oak, FL after a battle with cancer.

He was born December 25, 1951, in Monticello, FL but moved to Fort Myers, FL with his family when he was very young. He lived in Fort Myers until he was a teenager. He then moved to Live Oak where he was a long time resident.

He was the son of the late Dorothy LeMaster DeCastro and was preceded in death by his brother, Bennie Proulx of Live Oak.

He is survived by two sisters: Maria Wiles (Wayne) of Ft. Myers, FL and Madonna Roberts (Vern) of Live Oak, FL also numerous nieces and nephews. Jim never had children of his own but dearly loved his nieces and nephews.

In 1969 Jimmy joined the Army and served in the Artillery 3rd Infantry Division in Vietnam as a Medical Corpsman. Jim was proud of his time in the Army and very proud to have served his country even though at a controversial time.

He was a member of the Northside Baptist Church of Live Oak and felt close to his church family.

A memorial service is scheduled at Northside Baptist Church on Saturday, August 23, 2014 at 2:00 PM. Interment will follow at the Live Oak Cemetery (Veteran's section).

In lieu of flowers the family would request that you make a donation to Northside Baptist Church, 12790 72nd Terrace, Live Oak, FL.
