Vernon N. Morgan, 72,

of Mainesburg, died Sunday, Aug. 17, 2014, at his home.

Vernon was born Sept. 21, 1941, in Elmira, N.Y., a son of Nelson and Lucille (Wilkins) Morgan.

He was married to Margaret "Peggy" A. (Carlson) Morgan.

Vernon was a member of the Bakerburg Community Church and the N.R.A.

He was a life long dairy farmer, enjoyed hunting, fishing, working in his garden, and snowmobiling, cutting firewood and spending time with his family.

Vernon is survived by his wife of 53 years, Peggy;

three daughters and sons-in-law,
Tami and Robert of Gillett,
Jannette and Mark Jr., of Canton,
Sonya and Joseph of Ogdensburg;

six grandchildren, Kyle, Levi, Desiree, Dylan, Darren and Daniel;
two great-grandchildren, Raelyn and Aralyn;

and three sisters and brothers-in-law,
Yvonne and Larry
Ruby and George
Linda and Floyd all of Mainesburg.

Family and friends are invited to call from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 21, 2014, at the Bakerburg Community Church, 197 Gray Valley Road, Mansfield. Funeral services will follow at the church at 7 p.m. with Pastor David Dressler officiating. A private burial will be in King Hill Cemetery, State Road, Mainesburg.
