She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her son, Don Chamberlain, her stepmother (Mama) Reba Skipper Jordan, 3 sisters and a brother. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and Ron Cleere of Huntsville; daughter, Cindy Chamberlain of Huntsville; daughter-in-law, Linda Chamberlain of Caldwell; granddaughter, Cristi Chamberlain of Bryan; grandson and wife, Scott and Laura Chamberlain of Cincinnati, Ohio; grandson and wife, Jason and Dana Cleere fo Angleton; grandson and wife, Chris and Jennifer Cleere of Huntsville; and great-granddaughters, Grace and Ellie Chamberlain of Cincinnati. Thelma was a homemaker, and a dedicated wife and mother. Prior to moving into a nursing home in 2004, she was and active member of Calvary  Baptist Church in Trinity, having served as a Sunday School teacher, and in various other areas within the church. She was especially proud of having served on the Long-Range Planning Committee at the time the current church sanctuary was built. She also joyfully served the church and the community as a volunteer, and worked many, many hours in the beauty salon at the nursing home, the Good Samaritan House mission, and with the homebound.

The family would like to express their appreciation to staff members of the Ella Smither Geriatric Center in Huntsville, Avalon Place in Trinity, and most recently, Green Acres of Huntsville, for their attentive care during the past 10 years.

Funeral services were held at 2:00 P.M. on Monday, August 18, 2014 at the Calvary Baptist Church in Trinity, with the Rev. Larry Bewley and the Rev. Randy Lowe officiating.
