A carpenter by trade, he worked for the Mount Hope Finishing Company of North Dighton for thirty years. He also worked for the Davis Gun Factory when it was an active business here in Assonet. He served in the Navy during World War I, was a member of the Board of Registrars, a volunteer firefighter and a president and member of the Senior Citizens Club for many years here in town.
Our gathering today is a celebration of the life of a man who served his country, town, family and church, and who was loved in turn.
