The funeral will be held Feb. 27 for Patrick John Horton of Beaverton, formerly of Eugene, who died Feb. 19 with his wife, Julianne and son, Ryan, 15, in an automobile accident. He was 51.

Horton was born Feb. 23, 1954, in Washington, D.C., to Kenneth and Virginia Crever Horton. He married Julianne Beyer on March 3, 1984, in Eugene.

He previously lived in Eugene, graduating from Marist High School in 1973. He received a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from Oregon State University in 1976. He also had lived in Long Beach, Calif.

Horton worked in computer engineering and as a computer systems consultant, and was affiliated with the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, Inc.

He enjoyed spending time with his children, technological gadgets and camping.

Survivors include a son, Craig of Corvallis; a daughter, Allison Horton of Beaverton; two brothers, Christopher of Eugene and Michael of Oakland, Ore.; and a sister, Joanne Horton of Santa Barbara, Calif.

Monday's service for Patrick, Julianne and Ryan Horton will be held at 11 a.m. at St. Pius X Catholic Church in Beaverton. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery in Mount Angel. Niswonger-Reynolds Funeral Home in Bend is in charge of arrangements.
