Mr. Billman was born Sept. 29, 1904 in Oto., Woodberry County, Iowa, to Mr. and Mrs. Walter E. Billman. He was married Oct. 30, 1926 at Granton to Emma Garbisch. They observed their golden wedding in 1976.
After their marriage they lived on a farm in the town of Fremont, Clark County, until moving to Granton in 1934. In 1937 they located in Chili, where Mr. Billman worked for J.W. Spry & Sons. After working at the Saynor Lodge and building a home in Burlington, the couple moved to Bell Gardens, Calif., in 1957. There Mr. Billman was employed as a cabinetmaker at Renus Ackerman Cabinet Shop. In 1961 he started work for Airstream Motor Homes, leaving there in 1969 and returning to Wisconsin. Since retirement the Billmans lived in Abbotsford and Plainfield before locating in Chili.
Mr. Billman, a member of Christ Lutheran Church is survived by his wife; three sons, Kenneth Billman of Chili, Donald Billman of Corona, Calif., and Gerald Billman, Wisconsin Rapids; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two brothers, Wilbur of Burlington and Virgil of Mesa, Ariz.; and three sisters, Mrs. William (Clara) Garbisch of Mesa, Ariz., Mrs. Milton (Emma) Meske and Mrs. Arthur (Ruth) Leichtnam, both of Abbotsford. He was predeceased by a son, two brothers and three sisters.
