Marie S. Williamson of McAlester, OK died Tuesday, August 19, 2014 at the age of 91. Marie was born June 30, 1923. Marie married Willis W. Williamson in Jasper, Florida on May 17, 1943 and they were married for 59 years and she was a homemaker. She was a member of the First Christian Church in McAlester, OK. She never knew a stranger and she loved everyone she came into contact with and everyone loved her. Marie is survived by her daughters, Lee Ann Grubis and husband Glenn Grubis of Choctaw, OK and Lynn Corbett of Los Angeles, CA.; son, Wallace K. Williamson of Arkansas; grandchildren, Emily Grubis, Ryan Grubis, Monica Corbett, Erik Williamson, Wallace Williamson and Rachel Middleton and numerous great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, a brother and her husband Willis W. Williamson in 2002. The Funeral Service will be held 10:00 a.m., Thursday, August 21, 2014 at Chaney’s Memorial Chapel with Pastor Pat Hackler officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery at a later date. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Chaney Harkins Funeral Home, McAlester, OK.
