Sheila Virginia “Penny” Stevens 67, of Frankfort, died at 5:36 p.m. August 12, 2014 at her home. Born July 12, 1947 in Frankfort, Indiana to Kenneth F. & Bevelyn Jean (Painter) Ashley. She married Robert Hulan Stevens Sr. on July 8, 1967 and he preceded her in death on January 13, 1989. Mrs. Stevens attended Frankfort schools. She was a cook and housekeeper, working at Parkview, Clinton House and cleaned houses. She also provided child care in her home for over 30 years. Penny attended the Bible Holiness Church and Victory Chapel. She enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren.

Visitation will be Thursday, August 14, 2014 from 4-8 p.m. at Goodwin Funeral Home, 200 S. Main St., Frankfort. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, August 15th at Victory Chapel Church, 196 S. West St., Frankfort. Burial will follow in Bunnell Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Goodwin Funeral Home, to assist the family with final arrangements.

Survived by: 2 Daughters: Viana Harris of Frankfort, Lisa (Rick) Mudd of Frankfort, 3 Sons: Raymond (Partner Corey Drinkut) Stevens of Indianapolis, Robert “Joe” (Samantha) Stevens Jr. of Frankfort, Jason (Brandy) Stevens of Frankfort, Brother: William Dale Ashley of Lebanon, 22 Grandchildren and 6 Great Grandchildren.

Preceded by: her parents and a sister, Edna Benefiel.
