Paul Anthon Anderson, 72, passed away on August 16, 2014 in Saint George, Utah after a long battle with Parkinson's disease. He was born in Sandy, Utah to Ezra and Priel Nielsen Anderson. Paul had a lifelong love of basketball. He played basketball for Jordan High School and was the Boys Club President. He then served an LDS mission in Australia. Paul graduated from Brigham Young University in 1968 with a Physical Education and Mathematics degree. He dedicated his life to teaching at Butler and Eastmont Middle, and Jordan and Brighton High Schools. He finished his career by teaching at Salt Lake Community College. He was an excellent educator and was loved by his students. Paul loved family vacations and traveling in his motor home. He was also an avid BYU Cougars and Utah Jazz fan.

Paul married the love of his life, Janet Nielsen, on August 19, 1970. They became the proud parents of three children, Brandon (Stephanie) Anderson, Kody (Kristen) Anderson, and Melissa (Spencer) Jones. He has 10 grandchildren. Paul is survived by his brother, Blaine (Nadine) Anderson, sisters Loraine (Hal) Robinson and Mary Kay Burgess. He was recently preceded in death by his two brothers, James (Mary Beth) and David (Nola) Anderson.

Funeral Services will be held August 22, 2014 11:00 am at the Riverton LDS chapel 13400 South 3113 West. Viewing will be held from 10:00-10:45 am. Interment at Wasatch Lawn South Valley 3600 West 13000 South Riverton, Utah. Online condolences may be shared with the family at www.jenkins-soffe.com
