**** Obituary ****
Donald D. Heyduck, age 88, of Centralia, died at 7:45 pm on Saturday, August. 16, 2014 at St. Mary's Hospital in Centralia. Mr. Heyduck was an elementary school teacher, having retired from Centralia Junior High School. He had also taught prior to that at Kell, Iuka, Willow Grove, Irving, and Jordan schools. Prior to his teaching career he had been associated with the Egyptian Dairy in Centralia. Donald was a member of American Legion Post 446, The Illinois Retired Teachers Association, and The Illinois Education Association. He had his Masters Degree from SIU Carbondale. He served in the U.S. Army Air Force during WWII.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, August 20, 2014 at at Irvin Funeral Home in Centralia, with Rev. Rodger Randolph officiating. Entombment will follow in the Hillcrest Memorial Park Mausoleum. Military Rites will be accorded by American Legion Post #446 and V.F.W. Post #2055. Friends may call on Tuesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the funeral home. For those who wish, memorials may be made to The American Heart Association, and will be accepted at the Irvin Funeral Home in Centralia, who is in charge of arrangements. Donald Heyduck is survived by his wife: Elizabeth (Griffin) Heyduck; a son: Wesley Heyduck of Fairfield; a daughter: Lynn York and special friend David Agee of Centralia; 3 grandchildren: Justin York and wife Andi of O'Fallon; Morgan York of Centralia; and Ashley Corners and husband Brent of Richview; 3 great grandchildren: Ella, Brylan, and Callen; twin great grandchildren due in February; and also several nieces and nephews.

Donald Heyduck was born on January 6, 1926 in Centralia, IL, the son of Albert and Olga (Sanders) Heyduck. He married Elizabeth (Griffin) at The First Baptist Church in Centralia and she survives. He was preceded in death by his Parents; 8 siblings Olvetta, George, Paul, Norma, LeeRoy, Phil, Howard, and Robert.
