Sandra Pauline Spencer McReynolds Greenwood, age 71, of Chetopa, formerly of Independence, passed away Wednesday, August 13, 2014, at her residence.

Services for Sandra Greenwood will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, August 16, 2014, at the Chetopa Baptist Church in Chetopa, KS, with Rev. Clarence Newman officiating and military rites provided by veteran's organizations. Interment will be at Fort Scott National Cemetery, Friday, August 22, at 12:30 PM. Friends may call Friday, August 15, from 9AM-8PM with the family receiving friends from 6-8PM at Webb Family Funeral Service in Independence. Memorial contributions may be made to the Patient Access Network or the American Cancer Society and sent to Webb Family Funeral Service, 1475 S. 10th, Independence, KS 67301.

Sandra was born May 10, 1943, in Carthage, MO, to Cleo and Valeda (Korn) Spencer. She attended Radium Grade School and graduated from Carthage High School in 1961. She joined the US Army and was discharged in 1964. She worked at Safeway Cheese and from 1970-1990 worked as a clerk at Frisco/Burlington Northern Railroad in Ft. Scott. She moved to Independence in 1977 and married Robert Greenwood on January 15, 1982. She was a member of the Methodist Church and Brotherhood of Railway and Airline Clerks.

Survivors include: Children; Shawn McReynolds, Gardner, KS. Jeannie Figge, Kansas City, KS. Charles Greenwood, Chetopa, KS. Three sisters; Mary Fosdick, Houston, TX. Barbara Moxley, Colonial Beach, VA. Elizabeth Matthews, Kansas City, MO. One grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Ruth Hall.
