Mr. Hazlett, 84, of Martindale, Portage RD2, died Wednesday, Aug. 10, 1983, in his home.
Mr. Hazlett retired as a coal miner.
He was born June 19, 1899, in Blue Knob, the son of George C. and Annie (Stombaugh) Hazlett, and married Mildred I. Helsel.
Surviving are his wife, five children: Dorothy Zaman of Portage RD 2, The Rev. William E. of Corry, Clair R. of Altoona, Donald R, of Portage and Richard L. of Tarentum: nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren`.
Also surviving are six brothers and sisters: Sarah Snowberger of Warren, Ohio; Clarence and Ruth Patterson of Duncansville RD, Irma Imler of New Enterprise, Theda Berger of Kent, Ohio, and Raymond of Geneva, Ohio.
Mr. Hazlett was a member of Martindale Christian and Missionary Alliance Church.
Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. today and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in the Rudolph Seckinger Funeral Home, Portage.
HAZLETT – Services for David Hazlett of Martindale, Portage RD 2, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in the Martindale Christian and Missionary Alliance Church, by the Rev. Charles W. Kephart.
Interment in Mount Moriah Cemetery, Blue Knob.
Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. today and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in the Rudolph Seckinger Funeral Home, Portage. Remains will lie in state at the church from 10 a.m. until time of services Saturday in the church.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to the Martindale Missionary Christian and Missionary Alliance Church building fund.
