Albert Eli Gary, Jr., 91, lifelong resident of Memphis, passed away August 14, 2014. He loved life and lived it to the fullest with humor and a love of the great outdoors and nature. Mr. Gary was an avid rabbit hunter, fisherman and raised Beagles. He enjoyed gardening and feeding all kinds of critters. Mr. Gary served in the Marine Corps during WWII, retired from Sears and was a member of Grimes Memorial United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 61 years, Ava Chadick Gary; son, Albert E. Gary, III, and three sisters. Mr. Gary is survived by his son, Lou M. Gary of Olive Branch, MS; daughter and son-in-law, Tana and Ed Reynolds of Cordova, TN; grandchildren, Natalie Reynolds Snuffin (Gary), Nicholas Gary Reynolds (Carrie); three great-grandchildren, Andrew and Owen Snuffin, and Bennett Reynolds. Visitation will be 12 noon, Monday, August 18 until service at 1 p.m. at Forest Hill East Funeral Home. Interment will be in Forest Hill Midtown Cemetery.
