Mr. Hodges was a native of MS and had made his home in Gordon for many years.
The son of the late Henry Robert Hodges and Minnie Smith Hodges, and was predeceased by his wives Shirley Mae Sanders Hodges, Mary Agnes Hodges and Barbara O. Hodges.
Survivors include children Jack D. Hodges, Jr. (Joyce), Melinda Hodges (Richard Bostick), Samuel R. Hodges (Tina), Tammy Jean Hodges (Jimmy Brooks) and James Lamar Hodges (Louise) 15 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren
