Dennis, MS~~~Clara Lenorah Malone Searcy, 92, life expired Sat. Dec. 06, 2003 in Knoxville, TN. She was a homemaker and a member of the Liberty Church of Christ. She was born April 19, 1911 in Franklin, Co., Ala. to Earnie and Lucy James Malone. Services were Tuesday, Dec. 09th. at the Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, with Ron Deaton and Wayne Mitchell and R. C Byram officiating. Bural was in the Lindsey cemetery.
Survivors include two daughters, Louise Smith, of Huntsville, and Vicky Stevens (Sid), of Knoxville; two stepsons, O. C. Searcy and Larry Searcy, both of Belmont.
Four sisters; Lorene Haynie, of Corinth, Deck Posey, Virgie Waddle and Rachel Bruton, all of Belmont.
Two brothers, Preston Malone, of Belmont, and Wayne (Sam), of LaVergne, Tenn.; three grandchildren, David Smith, of Huntsville, Demaris Meyer, of Memphis, and Mandy Stevens, of Knoxville.
She was preceded in death by her 1st. husband, R. C. Clingan, married on Jan. 10, 1930, two infant sons, Rayburn Cecil and Thomas Earnie Clingan. Her 2nd. husband, Herman Rex Searcy, married on July 15, 1946; her parents, a sister, one grandson, Darrell Smith, of Huntsville, a Geraldine Sartain, and four brothers; Virgle, Elree, Lumis and Reece Malone.
