Wilma E. Marshall, 95, of La Porte City, died Saturday, August 16, 2014 at La Porte City Nursing and Rehab Center of natural causes.

She was born September 19, 1918 in Buchanan County the daughter of Edward W. and Amanda (Benorden) Jesse. She was united in marriage to James A. Marshall on July 11, 1937 at the First Lutheran Church in Waterloo; he preceded her in death on May 24, 2003

Wilma had worked for Foss Produce, Evergreen Hatchery, Thompson Grocery and the Canning Factory. She was a member of the American Lutheran Church in La Porte City.

Survived by one daughter, Patricia (Dallas) Kray of Story City, Iowa; one granddaughter, Tammie (John) Ollendick of Grimes; two great grandchildren, Zeb Ollendick of Urbandale and Zoe Ollendick of Grimes; two brothers, Willard (Lois) Jesse and Leland Jesse all of La Porte City and one sister, Margaret (Dr. Richard) Brust of Monmouth, Oregon.

Preceded in death by her parents; five brothers, Melvin in infancy, Raymond, Russell, Virden and Edward Jesse and two sisters, Florence McDonald and Winona “Nonie” Fehl.
