Nora Springs - Mrs. Bonnie Hoel, 87, died Monday at the Nora Springs Nursing Home. She had been hospitalized in Mason City since last December and was taken to the nursing home March 3.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at United Methodist Church. The Rev. Evan Routh will officiate. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Rudd. Visitation will be at Sheckler Funeral Home from 1 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and from 9 a.m. until time of services Wednesday.

Born in Floyd County July 8, 1883, she was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. L. L. Miller. She was married to Jess Tanner in 1911 and in 1920 was married to Frank Hoel. He died in 1957.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. M. A. (Grace) Dodge, rural Mason City; 10 grandchildren, 19 great -grandchildren, two sisters, Lorraine (Luraine) Miller, Nora Springs, Kitty Tompkins, Davenport; and a brother, Austin Miller, Nora Springs. She was preceded in death by two brothers, three sisters and a stepson.

NORA SPRINGS - Services for Mrs. Bonnie Hoel, 86, who died Monday at the Nora Springs Nursing Home, were held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the First United Methodist Church; burial in the Rudd cemetery; survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Maurice Dodge of Mason City; two sisters, Miss Lorraine Miller of Nora Springs and Mrs. Kittie Thomkins of Davenport; one brother, Austin Miller of Nora Springs; 10 grandchildren, and 19 great - grandchildren; Sheckler Funeral Home in charge.
