Mr. Wicklander was born September 26, 1912 at Bethel, Minnesota, son of the late Nels and Charlotte Ridge Wicklander. He attended schools in St. Frances, Minnesota and was a graduate from the high school in 1930. Mr. Wicklander was employed with Soo Line Railroad Company as a switchman and later as Yard Master in Manitowoc, retiring in 1973. He married the former Margaret Dodine on November 9, 1937 at Columbia Heights, Minnesota. Mr. Wicklander was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church and Soo Line Veterans Assocation.
Survivors include his wife, Margaret; a son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Carol Wicklander of Friendwood, Texas; a daughter, Judy Cleghorn of Friendwood, Texas; a sister, Frances Hilliard of Anoka, Minnesota and three granddaughters also survive. He was preceded in death by two sisters.
There will be no Friday evening visitation at the funeral home. Friends may call at St. Paul United Methodist Church, Manitowoc, from 10 am Saturday morning until the hour of service. Memorials may be made to the donor's choice.
