Clara Medley Rogers, age 85 of Murphy, NC passed away Friday, August 15, 2014 at Murphy Medical Center.
She was a native of Union County, GA; daughter of the late Nelse and Mae Owenby Brown. Clara was a homemaker. She loved to read, watching TV, working in her flowers and spending time with her family. Clara was of the Baptist faith.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Rogers; one daughter, Jane Hogsed and one sister, Nell Grant.
Funeral Services will be held at 2 PM, Monday, August 18, 2014 at the Townson-Rose Funeral Home Chapel in Murphy. Pastor Harold Stiles will officiate. Burial will be in the Mt. Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery.
