Stanley Ray Landers, 82, passed away at 11 PM Friday Dec. 10 1999 in St. John’s Regional Health Center, Springfield. Stanley was born May 9, 1917, in Christian County, to Henry Washington and Clara Fox Landers. He was united in marriage to Melva Spoon in Springfield, on Jan. 15, 1956. Mr. Landers was a US Air Force veteran and served his country proudly during WWII. He was a dairy farmer, the Chairman of the Board of the Production Credit Association, and for over 50 years, a member of Tatum Chapel Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, his eight brothers, and three sisters. He is survived by his wife, Melva; three sons, Dave Loven and his wife, Carol; Mike Loven; and Tom Loven and his wife, Donna; two sisters and their husbands, Bertha and Freddie Bolin, and Jean and Elza Martin; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Burial in Clear Creek Cemetery.
