Amy J. Suer, 32, 1415 E Third St., died at her residence.

Bom July 11, 1947, in Indianapolis, she was the daughter of Dr Robert E. and Ruah L. (Brackett) Suer. The mother survives.

She was a graduate student and associate instructor in the department of art history at IU. She received her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree with distinction from the Kansas City Art Institute in 1971. She received her Master of Fine Arts degree from University of Cincinnati in 1973. She also attended the New York Studio School and the Santa Fe Summer Workshop.

She attended IU from 1985-68 as the recipient of a National Merit Scholarship and three IU Foundation scholarships. As a student at University High School, she was awarded a first-place National Scholastic art award. She attended First Presbyterian Church.

Surviving besides her mother are two sisters, Mrs. Jeri Enberg of Sherman Oaks, Calif., and Lynn Suer of Bodega Bay, Calif.; three brothers, Dr Robert Paul Suer of Muncle, Jay G. Taylor of Woodridge, Ill., and Stephen R. Suer of La Crescenta, Calif.; one aunt and several uncles.

She was preceded in death by her father in 1953.
