Mr. Lewis was employed as a molder at the John Deere Spreader Works for 32 years, retiring in 1958.
Services will be at 3 Monday afternoon in the Esterdahl Chapel, where friends may call after 7 tonight. The Rev. Charles Wiley, pastor of First Christian Church, will officiate, and burial will be in Greenview Memorial Gardens,
Pall bearers will be Clyde Applegate, Roy Granger, Roy Mack, Frank Derrick, Lester Starner and George Swanson.
Mr. Lewis, the son of Fred and Charlotte Lewis, was born July 10, 1890, in Villisca, Ia. He married Pyrle V. Peterson on April 21, 1915, in Corning, Ia., and the couple moved to Moline 36 years ago.
He was a member of the First Christian Church and the Moline Moose Lodge.
Surviving are the widow; two sons, Donald E., Rock Island, and Richard, Millard, Neb.; two daughters, Mrs. Bob Coverdill, Kewanee, and Mrs. William Henderson, East Moline; a brother, Homer, McCallsburg, Ia.; three sisters, Mrs. Frank Turner, Denver, Colo.; Mrs. Mable Swieker, Furlock, Calif., and Mrs. Laura Morgan, Salina, Kan.; and 12 grandchildren,
A brother and three sisters preceded him in death.
