Mary W. Rezin, 79, of 1720 Cranberry Lane, town of Cranmoor, died Friday, Nov. 17, 2006, at Edgewater Haven Nursing Home in Port Edwards.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Saint John the Evangelist Episcopal Church. The Rev. Vicki Natzke will officiate. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.

Mary was born Aug. 9, 1927, in Bournedale, Mass., to Clifton and Verna (Morse) Beal. She married Daniel B. Rezin on August 28, 1949, in Bournedale. He preceded her in death July 16, 1997.

She was a homemaker and secretary and treasurer for Cranmoor Cranberry Company. Mary was a very generous benefactor to local organizations. She was a member of the Red Hat Society and the Daughters of the American Revolution, and was on the Board of Directors for Riverview Hospital and the Riverview Hospital Auxiliary. Mary enjoyed her card groups and playing bridge. She loved to travel with her husband and dining out on Friday nights.

Survivors include: Two sons, Doug (Deb) Rezin of Wisconsin Rapids, and Carter (Rick Olds) Rezin of Rancho Mirage, Calif.; two daughters, Pat (Tim) Rezin-Samuelson of Indio, Calif., and Elizabeth (Robert) Sawyer of Wisconsin Rapids; ten grandchildren, Heather (Tim) McKellips, Ben, Matthew, and Jesse Rezin, Nicole (Nicholas) Ward, Carter and Forrester Samuelson, and Mary, Russell and Katherine Sawyer; five great-grandchildren, Ethan, Connor, and Finnigan McKellips, and Kelsey and Creed Ward.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Daniel; one daughter, Catherine; and one brother, Carter Beal.

Friends may call at St. John the Evangelist Episcopal Church from 12:30 p.m. until time of services Wednesday.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Mary's name to the UW Cancer Center-Riverview, the South Wood County Humane Society, the South Wood County YMCA or a local charity of your choice.
