Mickey, 79, Lima, died at 5:23 p.m., at Springview Manor Nursing Home after a courageous battle with Acute Myelogenous Leukemia and Crohn's Desease.

He was the son of Everett and Carmen (Drake) Miller. On Dec 24, 1957, he married Emily Adams, who survives in Lima.

Also surviving are a son, Mark, Lima; three daughters: Apryl (Tony) Burtchin, Bellefontaine, Natalie Cannon, Darien, GA, and Lori (Tom Vojtush) Faccenda; eight grandchildren: Erika Cannon, Vanessa Oren, Tiffany Kirchner, Tatum Faccenda, Adam Burtchin, Nicholas (Jessica) Burtchin, US Army, Afghanistan, Alexis Long and Cameron Burnett; and five great-grandchildren: Mackenlie, Skye, Ryah, Amara and Carter.

Deceased are a son-in-law, Tony Faccenda; and a sister-in-law, Susan (David) Chapman.

He served in the United States Army in West Germany, from 1957 through 1959. He attended DePauw University, Greencastle, IN, and The Ohio State University. He attended Spring Training Camp with the Milwaukee Braves for two years. He was a sports trivia buff, enjoyed harness racing, crossword puzzles, the Cincinnati Reds and the Cleveland Indians. He retired as the Deputy Auditor of Allen County. He had also worked for Bill Sharpe Insurance and the Buckeye Pipe Line, Co. He was a member of the Shawnee Country Club, B.P.O.E. # 54, K of C, and the VFW Post 1275.

A Memorial Service will be held at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home, with Pastor Josh Gelatt officiating.
